At the end of 2022, global 5G wireless connections surpassed 1.1 billion. Connections to 5G networks have, on average, doubled every year since its commercial inception in late 2018, according to 5G Americas and data from Omdia.
This paper discusses the current and potential new mid-band options available in the U.S., coexistence considerations for mid-band, characteristics of mid-band spectrum and how we can evolve it towards the best coverage and what tools are available to maximize the use of this spectrum.
